H4H Night At MSG Benefits Kids On Both Sides of the Atlantic
March 20th, 2007 - It was a memorable night at Madison Square Garden for a handful of children and local charities. Thanks to the New York Knicks, Hoops 4 Hope Night at the Garden gave New York area children in need an opportunity to attend their first NBA game.
Through the generosity of the Knicks, a section of tickets were released exclusively to Hoops 4 Hope, and H4H was given the opportunity to make the tickets available to supporters. Donors purchasing the seats had the option to attend the game (versus Western Conference leading Dallas Mavericks), or donate the tickets to local kids in need, many of whom were attending their first live sporting event.
Proceeds from the ticket sales benefited Hoops 4 Hope’s sports and HIV education efforts in Southern Africa, as well as local New York based charities also involved in the evening. New Yorkers For Children, Back 2 Basics, and The Riverside Hawks will be shared in the evening’s experience as well.
