Our Mission Statement

The Leaders in Training Program (LIT) facilitates regular sports activities, educational games and physical activities at their own Sport-for-All Centres in Mbabane as well as 6 different communities. In addition to working in their own communities, the Leaders facilitate Positive Play Days for various communities.

Executive Summary

Each event attracts between 150-200 participants with the Positive Play Days reaching over 800 children in total to date. In addition to participating in Kicking AIDS Out activities, sport is used to teach the values of Positive Play and the importance of living according to the 6 pillars of character (Respect, trustworthiness, responsibility, caring, fairness and citizenship). The Positive Play days and informal development through sport activities have also been used to encourage the reduction of stigma surrounding disease and responsible sexual behaviour. All Positive Play Days and LIT training sessions demonstrate a key focus to create an atmosphere that promotes team work and respect between genders.

All locally practiced sports and cultural games (soccer, netball, volleyball, cricket) are incorporated into the program.
